Ever since sandwiches have been cut into tiny morsels and pillows have been piled onto ornate beds, hotels and resorts have been vying to deliver 'luxury' to their guests.

From the time the friendly staff from Ratua Private Island greeted us at Espiritu Santo's Luganville Airport we knew were in for a special stay. The weather was a balmy 29 degrees and the 30 minute boat trip from the airport to the resort was the perfect way to start our weekend break.
